Video and production services have always been a part of Michael W. Zaskey’s life. In 1986, Mike’s father, William Zaskey, and a close family friend, Ed Ciejek, (pronounced: C’Jack) helped Michael  - then only 11 years old - to develop his hobby into a video production company. They officially became a business in 1990, and in 1992, Michael chose to make it his full time career.

Over the past 20 years, Zasco Productions, LLC has grown from one boy’s hobby in a basement, to a full service video, audio, lighting, and multi-media production company. In January 2006, Zasco Productions moved from their previous two locations on Front Street, into space at 340 McKinstry Avenue. They now occupy 5,100 square feet of office, production, and warehouse space in the newly redeveloped McKinstry Business Center.

New clients and consistent sales increases over the years have allowed them to grow.  With over $1 million in rental and production equipment, and a dedicated team of employees, Zasco has developed a wide client base not only regionally, but also nationally and internationally. Zasco Productions has gained a reputation for creativity, technical ability, and excellence throughout the industry.

Zasco Productions plans to maintain and improve upon what has carried them this far: Continued pursuit of creativity, knowledge, and investment in new technology. They also plan to continue to market themselves locally. The opening of the new MassMutual Center in Springfield has provided a substantial amount of new business to the area, and Zasco Productions is currently one of the preferred vendors at the facility. Keeping the businesses “right-sized” is important as well. They grow with their clients needs, keep a hands-on personal approach to all their projects, and can react quickly to changes in the industry.

Zasco Productions provides service to everyone from producers, broadcasters, and designers, to hotels, media departments, and business end users. Their expertise is often called upon by other production companies for some of their most demanding projects. The range of services Zasco offers is very diverse, and they can handle just a few specialty details, or an entire production.

From concept to completion, they are a one-stop source, and provide comprehensive design and production services under one roof. Zasco has a team of designers, producers, and technicians, with tremendous talent. Many of Zasco Productions current employees have been working together with Michael Zaskey in various capacities of video, audio, lighting, and theater, since high school, and have helped build the company from the ground up. Zasco Productions would like to publicly thank some of their current key employees: Steve, Dan, Ed, Brian, Charles, and Dave, and of course Michael’s father Bill Zaskey, and friend Ed Ciejek. Zasco Productions would not be the success it is without all of you.

The highest honor that Zasco Productions could receive is the continuing relationships with all their clients, and the respect and support of their friends and colleagues. Be it producers, event managers, or end users, Zasco has been able to attract and maintain the loyalty and business of many local, national, and international organizations.
