For a live event production company, logistics are critical. The right equipment has to arrive in the right place at the right time, and it has to be in excellent condition. To ensure that their demanding warehouse operations continue to run smoothly, Zasco Productions has hired Matthew J. Derderian as their new Warehouse Supervisor.
A native of Springfield, Derderian is a 2009 graduate of the University of Hartford, where he studied Audio Engineering Technology. He spent the winter of 2010 working for NBC Universal at the Vancouver Olympics, and has a strong background in video and audio technology.
Derderian is also no stranger to Zasco Productions. First introduced to the business as a customer seeking to rent equipment, he soon became an integral part of the company’s team of part-time production associates. He has demonstrated his value and growth potential ever since, making this most recent move a seamless transition for the company and the employee.
“It’s very rewarding to promote someone we know so well,” said President and Owner Michael Zaskey. “Matt has all of the character, ingenuity, and work ethic that we need in this position. He has the skills to manage our warehouse operations and the production experience to do great things for our clients on show site. It’s a perfect fit.”
With the recent major purchase of LED Video Display tiles to construct massive visual display walls from Oracle LED Systems of Los Angeles, Zasco is gearing up for an exceptionally busy period of growth.
“We’re very lucky to be generally busy,” Zaskey said, “We expect that our clients are going to really demand the use of our brand new LED technology, and that means our warehouse operations have to be better than ever.”
